Biography

My name is Winston Jourden Brown, but all my friends and family call me Jourden. Being why my artist name is JRDNFR (Jourden for real). I was born in Rochester New York and lived there 18 years of my life. My parents names are Carolyn and Winston, and I also have two little brothers Austin and Caleb. Im an R&B artist, and am slowly but surly tapping in the each genre of music. My main thing people will get from me is that I’m big on my fashion.

While I was young I lived with my grandparents for a few years, my grandfather would always listen to music in his little walking closet and that's when it started.

He would play artist like John Legend, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Ale Green. I was raised in the church and was the only kid in the adult choir. He saw the natural and raw talent and knew singing and performing was for me. He started training me to be a song leader and once I was baptized around the age of 13 I was placed into the rotation. So I grew with a lot of old school and soulful music. As far back as I can remember I’ve always wanted a microphone in my hand.

My influences when it comes to music is a strange but nice mix. My all time artist is Young Thug, Second John Legend, and lastly Frank Ocean. I feel these three describe me as and artist. Starting with Young Thug, they way he dresses, his approach to every song he makes, you can tell he loves his music rather someone else does or doesn’t. His presence in the world of music is felt by ever genre and every artist. Then John Legends soulful, amazing vocals, and talent behind the piano, he sings with so much heart and passion in every song. You can tell over the years that he’s adapting to the new sound but he always stays true to him self. Lastly Frank Ocean and his genius ability’s in his music. He is so versatile, one week he may drop a song of just straight up amazing vocals and the next week give you a rap song. I really try to use a little bit of them in each song.
